It may be late in July, but it’s never too late to plan a fun-filled bonding vacation with your family. Everyone thinks that a vacation needs to be a fabulous event that takes months to plan. Even though you obviously want your vacation to be fabulous, that doesn’t mean it needs to be complicated to plan!

Whether you want to utilize air travel, or if you would rather opt for the train, bus, or your own car, you have so many different options that will create amazing memories and allow you to spend time with your parents and siblings before heading to school. However, regardless of the trip, planning a vacation can be extremely stressful. So, let me help you out! I’ll give you some great vacation options that will be fun for the whole family!

New York City

NYC is truly the concrete jungle where dreams are made of. The beauty of NYC is, since it’s such a hot spot to be, there are flights, buses, and trains constantly going to and from the city. If you live on the East Coast, you could even drive your own car! It’s so easy to sell NYC as an amazing family vacation spot because it has everything; site-seeing, shopping, amazing food, fantastic museums, great shows (Broadway, comedy, plays, you name it), and more. You can also travel and enjoy your time in NYC according to your price range. There are thousands of hotels to choose from, all with different room rates, or you could even opt for an Airbnb.

Another amazing plus of traveling to NYC is that you can be there for a week and have the time of your life, or only go for a long weekend and have equally as much fun and accomplish just as much. If you want to taste a little bit of everything that NYC has to offer, be sure to hit up Chelsea Market and/or Smorgasburg. If you are a Broadway-lover, try to see a show (you can get great deals on tickets if you see the show during an off time or during the week, as opposed to the weekend). If you are looking for a culture-filled trip, go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney, Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty. NYC has endless vacation possibilities, so don’t hesitate, starting planning your trip to the Big Apple!

Disney World/Disneyland

Disney World and Disney Land are two fun trips for families with family members of all ages. If you live closer to Florida, you would have better luck (and better prices) heading to Disney World. If you live closer to California, you should head to Disney Land. Both places are super fun and both places have fun rides, yummy food, and great opportunities to meet some of your favorite Disney celebrities; not to brag, but I have an autograph book filled with tons of Disney characters’ names (I miss you Mickey Mouse)!

Yes, the lines will be long and yes, the weather will be hot, but you will have the best time and you can plan this trip without breaking the bank. Both locations offer vacation packages and give you great activity options for parents, college students, teenagers, and younger kids! You can stay in Cinderella’s Castle, you can lay by the pool, or you can ride all of the rides at the famous Epcot Center, Disney really allows you to have everything at your fingertips. If you are willing to splurge a little bit, you may even be able to cop some skip-the-line passes for all of the rides… less time waiting, and more time doing! So, ladies and gentlemen, embrace your inner child and convince your family to travel to either Disney World or Disney Land!

Local Beach

The beauty of your local beach is that it can, most of the time, be used for a day-long vacation, w weekend-long vacation, or even a week-long vacation. You’ve probably visited your local beach tons of times ever since you were a little kid, so you are familiar with all of the yummiest restaurants and local hot-spots. Obviously, I can’t speak for any local beach, other than my own, but from what I know about my beach is that it’s (1) only a three-hour drive, (2) has the tastiest desserts, and (3) smells like salty sea-water. The local beach is fun for the whole family, and you can never go wrong with this fun vacation hot-spot, as it’s usually a great option if you don’t want to break the bank.

Ladies and gentlemen, be sure to talk to your families about these vacation options before summer is over! The sooner you talk to them, the sooner you start planning, and the sooner your vacation fun can begin! Safe travels to everyone!
